Description
Hosta ‘High Society’ is a small, clump-forming perennial hosta that typically grows to 8 inches (20 cm) tall and spreads 15 to 18 inches (38 to 45 cm) wide. A sport of Hosta ‘June’, it features broad-ovate leaves measuring approximately 5 inches (13 cm) long and 4 inches (10 cm) wide, with creamy yellow centers that mature to white by summer, surrounded by wide, blue-green margins. In late summer to early fall (August to September), ‘High Society’ produces bell-shaped, pinkish-white flowers on scapes rising just above the foliage mound. This hosta thrives in part shade to full shade and prefers evenly moist, organically rich, well-drained soils. Hardy in USDA zones 3 through 8, it is well-suited for shady borders, woodland gardens, or as a specimen plant in containers. Notably, ‘High Society’ is a slow grower but rewards patience with its striking variegated foliage.
Sold well-rooted in a tall 9cm pot.
