Description
Hosta ‘Country Mouse’ is a miniature, clump-forming perennial known for its petite, heart-shaped, blue-green leaves with narrow, creamy white margins. In midsummer, it produces delicate, pale purple, bell-shaped flowers on slender scapes that rise above the foliage. Mature plants typically reach a height of 4 to 6 inches (10 to 15 cm) and spread about 10 to 12 inches (25 to 30 cm). ‘Country Mouse’ thrives in partial to full shade and prefers moist, well-drained soils. Hardy in USDA zones 3 through 8, this variety is ideal for rock gardens, borders, or container plantings where its diminutive size and charming foliage can be appreciated up close.
