Description

Cornus alba ‘Kesselringii’ is a deciduous shrub reaching 48 to 72 inches in height and spread. It is known for its dark red stems that deepen to a striking purple-black in winter, providing seasonal interest. In late spring, it produces clusters of small, creamy-white flowers, which are followed by white berries that attract birds. The green foliage turns reddish-purple in autumn before shedding. This shrub thrives in full sun to partial shade and adapts to a variety of soil types, including moist but well-drained conditions. It is tolerant of both wet and dry soils once established. Its vibrant winter stem color and adaptability make it suitable for mixed borders, hedges, or mass plantings, adding year-round visual interest to the garden. Hardy to USDA Zone 2.

Sold well-rooted in a tall 9cm pot.
