We don’t generally offer shipping on our 2 gallon roses: they’re large, fully rooted, and in active growth. The shipping options for a plant that size are not great. This is a workaround, and it’s far from perfect. These large prepaid shipping boxes will fit 1 rose only, and the charge is $30 – so that makes it just about the same cost as the plant. The plants don’t love being in a box for a week, and for some destinations the transit time is generally over a week (east of Ontario).
For this reason, I propose we split the risk: if you add this item to your order, we’ll drop the rose in the box and ship it your way. If the plant does poorly (within 2 weeks of arrival, say) and you send us a pic, we’ll be willing to refund the cost of the rose, but the cost of the shipping box is on you.
At checkout, you’ll still need to select local pickup as your shipping method, as this is just a rough workaround for those who are highly “motivated” to order a particular rose.
