Description

​Sedum hakonense ‘Chocolate Ball’ is a low-growing, spreading perennial renowned for its needle-shaped, chocolate-brown foliage that maintains its rich color throughout the growing season. In summer, it produces small clusters of bright yellow flowers, adding a striking contrast to the dark leaves. This variety typically reaches a height of 2 to 4 inches (5 to 10 cm) and spreads 8 to 12 inches (20 to 30 cm). Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, ‘Chocolate Ball’ is ideal for borders, containers, groundcover, rock gardens, and mass plantings. It is also drought and heat tolerant, as well as resistant to deer and rabbits.
