The upright stonecrop varieties offer superb value in the garden: succulent foliage, showy flowers, great form – and hardiness to even the coldest of winters. The hold their flowers into the fall and winter, extending the season of interest. This cultivar ‘Carl’ exhibits fresh green foliage and deep pink flower heads – much like ‘Autumn Joy’ and ‘Brilliant but in my view, ‘Carl’ just looks a little brighter and healthier than the others.  Hardy to zone 3.
