These blooms appear from late summer into autumn, typically from September through November, and can extend into winter in milder climates. The plant reaches a height of 24 to 30 inches (60 to 75 cm) and spreads approximately 12 to 18 inches (30 to 45 cm). Hardy in USDA zones 7 through 9, Schizostylis coccinea thrives in full sun to light shade. It prefers moist, well-drained soils and benefits from consistent moisture during the growing season.
