ID alert: this rose is in my collection as ‘Robin Hood’, but I’ve heard that the identity of Robin Hood in the nursery trade is questionable. Often times, I’m told, the rose sold as ‘Robin Hood’ is actually another hybrid musk, ‘Belinda’. Both seem lovely, and from pictures, I have no easy way to make the distinction. Whatever its real name, this rose makes a fine, repeat flowering shrub with strong pink (fading to almost white) clusters of flowers. Tiny little rose hips follow, extending the display well into the fall and winter.
