Description

The ‘Danaë’ rose, a Hybrid Musk introduced in 1913 by Rev. Joseph Hardwick Pemberton, features light yellow blooms that age to white. These blooms, notable for their strong fragrance, have an average diameter of about 3 inches. The rose presents a very double, cluster-flowered form and blooms continuously. As a climber, it reaches 5 to 6 feet in height and 4 feet in width, with glossy, dark green foliage. Suitable for USDA zones 6b through 10b, it is, however, susceptible to mildew. The name ‘Danaë’ is inspired by Greek mythology.
