Description

​Rodgersia pinnata ‘Chocolate Wings’ is a robust, clump-forming perennial prized for its dynamic foliage and striking floral displays. In spring, its large, textured leaves emerge with a rich purple-brown hue, maturing to green during summer and transitioning to bronze and burgundy tones in autumn. During mid-summer, branched panicles of small, dark pink flowers rise above the foliage, adding visual interest. Mature plants typically reach heights of 2.5 to 3 feet (75 to 90 cm) and spread approximately 3 feet (90 cm). ‘Chocolate Wing’ thrives in full sun to partial shade, preferring organically rich, moist to wet, well-drained soils.
