Polemonium ‘Purple Rain’ – Potted (9cm)

Description

Polemonium yezoense ‘Purple Rain’ is a compact, clump-forming perennial that reaches 12 to 24 inches in height and 12 to 18 inches in width. It features finely divided, fern-like foliage that emerges with a deep maroon hue in spring, transitions to deep green in summer, and returns to maroon in fall. In mid to late spring, clusters of star-shaped, purple flowers with prominent stamens and cream anthers bloom atop dark stems. Thriving in partial shade, it prefers moist, well-drained soils and benefits from protection against intense afternoon sun, especially in warmer climates. Its attractive foliage and vibrant flowers add texture and color to shaded garden areas. Hardy to USDA Zone 3.
