Description
Origanum ‘Bristol Cross’ is a semi-evergreen sub-shrub that forms a compact mound, reaching approximately 6 to 9 inches in height and 12 to 18 inches in width. It features aromatic, gray-green leaves and, from late summer into autumn, produces pendent whorls of small, tubular, purple-pink flowers accompanied by reddish bracts. Thriving in full sun, it prefers well-drained, alkaline soils and exhibits good heat and drought tolerance once established. Its ornamental blooms and fragrant foliage make it suitable for rock gardens, borders, or containers, adding late-season interest and attracting pollinators. Hardy to USDA Zone 5.
Sold well-rooted in a tall 9cm pot.
