Description

Hydrangea quercifolia ‘Snowflake’ is a deciduous shrub that typically reaches 5 to 8 feet in height and width. It is renowned for its large, conical flower panicles composed of double white blossoms layered atop one another, creating a cascading effect. These blooms emerge in late spring, gradually transitioning to pink as they mature, and often persist into late summer. The deeply lobed, oak-like leaves are dark green during the growing season, turning rich shades of maroon and purple in the fall. In winter, the exfoliating bark provides additional visual interest. ‘Snowflake’ thrives in partial shade and prefers moist, well-drained soils.
