Description
Hemerocallis ‘Stella de Oro’ is a compact, herbaceous perennial renowned for its profuse, fragrant, golden-yellow flowers with ruffled edges and deeper yellow throats. Blooming from early summer to fall, each flower measures approximately 2.75 inches (7 cm) in diameter and lasts at least 16 hours. The plant forms a dense clump of arching, blade-like green leaves, reaching a height of 11 to 15 inches (28 to 38 cm) and spreading 12 to 24 inches (30 to 60 cm). Thriving in full sun to partial shade, it prefers average, moist, well-drained soils and demonstrates tolerance to heat and drought once established. Hardy in USDA zones 3 through 10, ‘Stella de Oro’ attracts butterflies and hummingbirds while exhibiting resistance to rabbits. Its extended blooming period and low maintenance make it a popular choice for borders, edging, ground covers, and container plantings.
Sold well-rooted in a tall 9cm pot.
