Description
Dalea purpurea ‘Stephanie’, known as Purple Prairie Clover, is a compact, sturdy perennial featuring bright lavender-purple, cylindrical flower spikes from June to August. Its fine-textured, dark green foliage forms a mounded habit, reaching about 15–18 inches (38–45 cm) tall and 15–24 inches (38–60 cm) wide. Hardy in USDA zones 4–9, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soils, making it suitable for rock gardens and as a cut flower. This cultivar was bred by Dale Lindgren of the University of Nebraska.
Sold well-rooted in a tall 9cm pot.
