Description

Ajuga ‘Noble Nightingale’ is a low-growing, evergreen perennial that forms dense mats of narrow, glossy leaves. The foliage displays deep hues of dark green, purple, and bronze, providing year-round visual interest. In spring, spikes of tubular blue flowers emerge, adding a subtle yet appealing contrast to the dark foliage. This plant reaches a height of approximately 4 to 6 inches when in bloom and can spread up to 18 inches wide. ‘Noble Nightingale’ thrives in part to full shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil, though it can tolerate a range of soil conditions once established. Its dense growth habit makes it an effective groundcover, suppressing weeds and stabilizing soil. The plant’s flowers attract pollinators, supporting beneficial garden insects.
